Migrate or Recover script from the data file.

Post by MyrddinE » 24.07.14 19:46:15

My computer died, I have installed on a new computer, and I need to recover my (very long, not backed up, whoopsie) script from the AppData user files. I found the files that I think have the data inside, but they are binary files... one appears to be an SQLite database, and I'm not familiar enough with how Chrome stores plugin data to get my script out.

Can someone assist, or point me to where this question has already been answered before?

What OS do you use?

If you already found the sqlite file: this guy wrote a PHP script to read the DB. http://forum.tampermonkey.net/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=785
Unfortunately TM now is using another type of storage. So there is no guarantee that this will work.

You can use this Python script to extract your user scripts. You may need to use a Linux Live CD.
